Sometimes an expanse of land separated us from Lake Pedder and at other times we were near the shoreline.   

Have you been looking at the vegetation in these photos – and have you been considering the challenge this would offer if you were to walk through it without  a track.  The wide diversity of vegetation textures, heights, and colours was quite astonishing. Here are more photos – look at the density of the bush, even though it is at a comparatively low level.
