RTBG reopens to the public – with conditions

Tasmania’s Minister for Heritage announced the reopening of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG); her media release can be read here. This decision took effect on Monday the 11th May.

I read with interest ‘Residents visiting the Botanical Gardens for exercise must continue to observe social distancing rules, and move on once they have completed their exercise’, and wondered whether weed pulling, planting, digging, pruning, and other jobs in the Food Garden would be classified as exercise. I know these activities all amount to tiring exercise in my own garden.

Meanwhile I wait for the decision to allow volunteers to return.
