Day three of my two hour walks started by walking down to Kangaroo Bay then heading off along the Clarence Foreshore trail around Rosny Hill to Montagu Bay. The early morning was tranquil away from main roads where car driving workers commuted in tight convoys clogging the main arteries to the bridge towards Hobart.
As I ascended the track away from Kangaroo Bay I loved the generous space generated by the wide Derwent River heading for the ocean.
The narrowest point between the CBD on the western side and the bottom of Rosny Hill on the eastern side of the Derwent River is such that in many years there is a competitive swim across the distance with swimmers finishing in Montagu Bay a little further – for total of one and a half kilometres.
Placid. Gentle. Peaceful. This was a walk which was, to a great extent, meditative in its simplicity. The regularity of each step gave me the comfortable opportunity to be mindful of each glorious moment.
Obviously another great day to be alive!
Exquisite images evoke the beauty and serenity of the morning.
