A Seasol win

Last month my subscription started and I received my first copy of the magazine Gardening Australia, produced by the ABC.

Towards the end of this information packed and extremely worthwhile issue was a competition. The task was to complete a large crossword using plant and gardening themed clues. I needed help from Google and learnt a great deal while I filled in the crossword then unscrambled the highlighted letters.  I submitted my answer then was delighted to receive an email informing me that I was one of 10 to win a prize.

This week my very heavy and large prize box of Seasol gardening products arrived.

Unpacking this has been a revelation. When I visit gardening shops I don’t trawl the shelves looking for all the Seasol products. I simply go straight for the tried and true product I have always used; in truth I am not sure I knew there were any other products.  Well now I know. Let me introduce the products I received as part of my big win.

A pair of leather gloves and a cake of branded soap.

Food for my ailing lawn – how did they know my lawn is really a mesh of many different weeds with the occasional blade of grass?

They provided a product which will get a great deal of use; keeping my soil wet/damp is almost impossible. Usually it is moist at the surface for a while after watering but in the depths it is often almost permanently powder dry (despite my use of compost, mulch and water holding crystals).

Something for the roses.

A general purpose help for vegetables.

Overall garden supporters

Finally a brochure with more information and detail of more products added to my store of knowledge.

So the range of this substantial pack looks like this:

This blog post is not an advertisement for the ABC, for Gardening Australia, nor for Seasol. However I can truly say I am super delighted with them all. And grateful – as my plants and garden will be over time.
