The Scotts Peak Dam, built in 1973, is a rockfill embankment dam without a spillway across the Huon River. 

 The Institution of Engineers Australia has produced a leaflet which includes a sunny-day aerial photo of the dam.

We continued along a side road to  Lake Pedder and to the boat ramp near the dam wall.
